Hi Rae,

Thanks for stopping by! A wishlist is definitely the way to go. I'm constantly adding to mine - if only someone besides me would read it!

Oh what a lovely idea - I currently have a grubby little notebook that I keep in my handbag with lists and jottings but I think I might treat myself to the Horticultural Society's nice journal to transcribe things properly

Or even better I'll pop it on my wishlist and drop lots of hints to my family

Hi Carol,

Holy Jumpin' that's a lot of years - it must be huge! I'll have to look for it on the Lee Valley website. I love everything else they have to offer.

Sounds like you use your journal in exactly the way it was intended - as a valuable reference tool.

Even if we don't all use our blogs for actual written record keeping, it's wonderful for photo journaling.

I'm looking forward to peeking into my mom's file box too. I might sneak a picture before she makes it all neat and tidy.

Glad you enjoyed the post!

I find garden record keeping very helpful. So many times I am looking up information from prior years to find out what I did, what should be blooming, etc. I am in year 7 in a 10 year garden journal from Lee Valley Tool Supply.

And though I didn't think I would, I am also using my blog to for some record keeping as well.

Good post on encouraging others to keep records. I'm looking forward to seeing what's in your mom's file box!
