Since cutting the tulips and daffodils, we've also cut hyacinths too.  They are lasting forever in a vase and their delicious scent greets us every time we enter the house.

		<description>I planted ice follies, too! Aren't they pretty?  Another one I planted last fall was Salome.  They bloom white and after a bit, the cup turns apricot colored. 

Your tulips look like some I used to have called Artists Tulips (or Parrot Tulips).  It's not "unthinkable" to pick them.  Sometimes, it's the best thing to do! :-)</description>
