No… I’d say that you just got the chance to participate in a little miracle. :-) So, what kind of bird is it?

Hello Shady Gardener,

He was so cute! I’m such a marshmallow (all mushy). I have no idea what kind he was. My mom might know - she hasn’t seen the pictures yet though.

Through the years, we have rescued quite a few baby birds. We take them to the local wildlife rehabilitation center. There are actually organizations whereby experienced volunteers nurture the little ones back to health and release them. You may want to contact your local wildlife agency; i.e., Dept. of Fish and Game and ask if there is a wildlife rescue/rehabilitation center near you.
