Those flower heads &lt;em&gt;are&lt;/em&gt; Wild Parsnip!  (another name for Giant Hogweed)  I found out when I was digging around on the internet after taking the picture.  So glad I didn't get any closer.  Just to be sure I stopped again the next time I went past to get a better look at the leaves - that confirmed it.  Really nasty stuff!  The images I found of skin reactions are horrible.  Still trying to find out if there's a number to call so that I can notify the powers that be of its existence.

Are those dried flower heads Wild Parsnip?  If so, when the flowers are yellow and blooming, stay Far Away from them.  They can cause terrible sores - much worse than poison ivy - with scars, too!</description>
