Oooh, I love it! I doubt I could ever get a bird to nest on my patio, I am sure that my constant close proximity would be a big deterrent, but I think I might get one just for ornamentation purposes. Then, someday when I win the lotto and can afford a house with a more private spot in the yard, I can try and coax a bird to move in.

Thank you for this idea! Wonder if I could actually get this done? (with help!) ;-)

Hi Cathy, I’m waiting (anxiously) to see the finished landscaping in your yard!! :-)

Fern,

I think that’s a great plan! Right now all of our birdhouses serve ornamental purposes. They never made it past the deck, but some day…

Hi Shady,

I know you could build one of these birdhouses with or without help!

Things have been just a little crazy around here this fall - I’ll give a brief explanation in a post. The farm update is definitely forthcoming!

Cool birdhouse. I live in surinam. I’ve made a couple of birdhouses. But it seems that the birds here don’t like to go in. How is that possible? Anyone know any solution or reason for this?

Kind Regards,
Alexander
